Our cottage is situated in a little Cotswolds market town. It’s a three bed, stone built, cement rendered detached house, with two reception rooms, a kitchen and bathroom. We also have a driveway for two cars ( which we may extend into a little) a garden (which we will be extending into) and a garage. We do have plans for the garage too but we’ll be concentrating on getting the cottage into shape first.
As far as we know, the cottage was built in the early 1800’s, and would have housed weavers or clothiers working in the town’s wool industry. It is also possible that they would have done much of their work here. This history is reflected in the name of the road our cottage stands on: ‘Dyer’s Brook’
We have been trying to find out names of previous inhabitants, so that we can trace exactly what the cottage was used for, but as you can imagine this is taking a while. So we’ll update this page when we have any further information.
